The early weeks of the season can make or break a fantasy team’s season, so it’s important to monitor the wire at all times. Maybe a roster spot opened because one of your players became IR-eligible. Maybe you recently dropped fringe players or lost your QB for the season (our sympathies, Kadarius Toney, Cole Kmet, and Trey Lance). The owners who find long-term fantasy success often anticipate who will be the following week’s top pickups and add them as free agents before having to burn valuable waiver claims or FAAB money....

Perhaps the toughest player to evaluate right now is Dak Prescott, who hasn’t looked the same since losing Ezekiel Elliott to suspension and Tyron Smith to injury. We know Elliott will be out this week, and if Smith remains on the shelf, it’s easy to imagine the Chargers’ pass rush giving Prescott all kinds of trouble on Thanksgiving. Because of this, he’s fallen out of the QB1 tier, as have Matthew Stafford (vs....

Yet the news today is much more positive for all three backs. Jackson seems likely to play in the Falcons’ matchup against the Cardinals. Murray is practicing as if he is going to suit up for Dallas, as well. Martin already has missed Week 8 and likely will miss Week 9, but he could be available for Week 10. Out in Seattle, Percy Harvin (hip) and the Seahawks are being coy about whether he’ll be ready for Monday night’s showdown against the Rams....
