What does one look for when ranking kickers? Glad you asked. Matchups matter, though it’s tough to know how good or bad a kicker’s matchup is, especially in Week 1. Playing indoors or outdoors matters, but with the weather still nice and fields in what should be pristine condition, it doesn’t matter as much as later in the season. Team offense and a strong leg also matter, but ultimately the biggest factor is something we can’t account for: Luck. That’s ultimately what deterimes sleepers and busts.
