Here’s the latest news on these players, which we’ll be updating throughout the morning/afternoon/evening. ( Go here for updates on Melvin Gordon and Jameis Winston.)

WEEK 8 RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Is Stefon Diggs playing in Week 8?

UPDATE:  Diggs is officially ACTIVE.

Diggs (groin) practiced in full on both Thursday and Friday, which suggests he’ll return from a two-game absence and take on the Browns in the UK ealry Sunday morning.

Given the matchup, Diggs looks safe to start as a borderline WR1.

Is Golden Tate playing Sunday night?

UPDATE: Tate is officially ACTIVE.

Tate (shoulder) got in limited practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, and he’s now trending toward playing on Sunday night against the Steelers.

Initially, it was believed Tate would miss at least one game after injuring his shoulder in Week 6, but apparently he healed quicker than expected during Detroit’s bye. He’s still not a lock to suit up, so if you don’t have a fill-in from either of the prime-time games, it’s best to leave Tate on your bench, especially since he’s facing a Steelers’ defense allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to WRs. T.J. Jones and Theo Riddick would see big bumps in targets if Tate is out.

Is Emmanuel Sanders playing Monday night?

After missing Week 7, Sanders (ankle) failed to practice all week, so despite his " questionable " tag for Monday night’s game against the Chiefs, he’s considered unlikely to suit up.

With Sanders out, Bennie Fowler becomes a legit sleeper against a Chiefs defense allowing the most fantasy points per game to WRs.

Danny Amendola injury update

UPDATE: Amendola is officially ACTIVE

Amendola (knee) was able to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday and Friday, and he told reporters he’s " good to go " for New England’s Week 8 matchup against the Chargers.

Amendola has been slumping after a solid, if unspectacular, start, but given the fact six teams are on bye this week, he’s still in play as a WR3 if he’s active.

Marquise Goodwin injury news

UPDATE: Goodwin is officially ACTIVE

Goodwin (back) practiced Friday , which is a good sign for his availability against the Eagles.

Given the favorable matchup, Goodwin is a popular sleeper pick this week, so if he plays, you can take a shot with him as a WR3 flier.
